Hip-T Review and Giveaway!

I was so excited to get the chance to try the Hip-T.
And let me tell you I LOVE IT!!!
***
What is it, you may be wondering????
It's the piece of clothing seen here that gives these shirts extra length
and the layered look!
It does 4 main things...
1. Covers Bum Cleavage
2. Lengthens any top
3. Hides Muffin Top
4. Creates Layers with out Bulk
This is me!
2 things about me...
I must wear low rise jeans and I have a fairly long torso.
The result... Shirts arn't long enough for me!
**
You can see here in this pic that the shirt doesn't even cover my belt. Well that's not good with low rise jeans. I hate it, I don't even feel like I can bend over or even sit in a chair without my back showing a little.
Here I am with the hip-t on.
It's just a 6-8 inch band that you slip on under your shirt!
Not only does it give me instant length, it also gives me a layered look which I absolutely love! It takes a shirt I'm somewhat uncomfortable in and makes it look better and makes me feel a whole lot more comfortable!
***
Hip-T.com has "The Basics" which has 12 awesome basic colors. They also have "The Originals" which has 3 colors with lace at the bottom (very pretty). And last they have the "Sassy Prints" which has 4 more cool styles!
They offer the Hip-T in 9 sizes anywhere from Youth 10-12 to 3XL.
***
This is really going to change a lot of shirts for me! I'm so excited to add this to my wardrobe and would love at some point to add some more colors and styles.
**

Western Ribs

Have you ever made ribs at home??
I made them for the first time this week! Wow were we ever impressed. We have REALLY been missing out. This was close to the BEST meat I've ever tasted.
It was also really easy to make! If you've never tried it, I encourage you to give it a try.
***
Here's what I did...
I bought Western Ribs at my local butcher. The meat was $1.59/lb. WOW!!!! That's cheaper than hamburger and this was like eating steak. I think we will be having this a little (lot) more often!!!!
***
Put them in a pot and cover with water. Add a little salt, pepper, and garlic salt. (I added about 2 tsp. of each aprox.) Bring to boil and then boil about 10 minutes.
**
Take out of pot and put in baking dish. Pour BBQ sauce over the top. I used close to a whole bottle (you wouldn't need that much but it was expiring). Cover and put it in the oven at 325 degrees for about 90 minutes. The last 45 minutes I turned it up to 375 for my potatoes (I have no idea if turing up the temp. played a part in its tenderness, but I don't think so).
***
That's it! Get ready for the most tender delicious meat ever!! Seriously my hubby didn't eat anything else on his plate because he didn't want to ruin the perfect taste in his mouth!!
***
This is the recipe I kinda used.
Have you ever made ribs?? Let me know how you make yours!!

In His Word Wednesday -- Joyful

Being Joyful is so important.
I know it's something I am continually working on... to make my house a joyful place to be. I fall short often but I really desire to be a joyful person!
Here are some verses I found...
Ps. 68:3
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
**
Ps. 100:2
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
**
Hab. 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
**
Zec. 10:7 b
and their hearts will be glad as with wine. Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the Lord.
**
Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
**
I Th. 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
*******
The Zechariah verse stood out to me.
If we're joyful our children will see it and be joyful!
***
*******
Now it's your turn! What has God been teaching you lately. Do you have a prayer request? Do you have a Bible verse that has stuck out to you? Even just words of encouragement. I would love to hear from you!
**
Just post on your blog, then come back here and sign the linky below.(You are welcome to use my banner if you'd like)
**
You can even just leave your words or prayer request here as a comment. We'd love to know how to pray for you. If you don't want to elaborate just let us know you have an unspoken prayer request. We can still pray for you because God already knows!
**
Have a Wonderful Day!

Country Bob's Review and Giveaway

I had the privilege of trying
They generously sent me two bottles to try out.
**
I must say that this sauce made the best meatloaf and we are now permanently changing the meatloaf recipe that we have used for 12 years to
I admit that's quite a feat because we don't change our food habits very often! And this recipe doesn't even use sugar, which we have always used for meatloaf!!

In addition to making awesome meatloaf, we also used it to dip our oven roasted potatoes in and make hamburgers. Those burgers were exceptional and I'm not just sayin' this! I took a pound of hamburger, added about 1/2 a cup of country bobs sauce, and mixed. We grilled it and remarkably the burgers held together perfectly! Then instead of ketchup we doused them again with the Country Bob's sauce.
Delicious!!!
The All purpose sauce has the perfect mix of sweet and tangy without being overwhelming no matter how much you use! I would definitely say that this sauce is an excellent replacement for ketchup.
**
And the best thing about their company is this statement
taken right on their site!
"It would be nice if we could claim responsibility for the success of the company, however, credit must be given where credit is due. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." We have placed true ownership of Country Bob, Inc. in the hands of God.
"Christ is our CEO" and He is an Awesome Boss!"
They even have "Christ is our CEO" on every bottle they produce! AWESOME!!!
***
*****
Now on to the GIVEAWAY!!!

Homeschool Review - Spelling

For Spelling we use "A Reason for Spelling". I started using this program last year and used it again this year. We really like it!
We started with level B and used C this year. I am able to have both my 4th grader and my 2/3 grader do the same level.
**
For each child you will need a student book which costs around $14.50 from Rainbow Resource.
Then you will need 1 Teachers Book for $27.95. I'm debating on skipping the teachers book next year to cut cost. I don't think we would miss out on too much. The only thing I would miss is the dictation, I would just have to make it up. I don't think that would be a problem!
Without the Teacher's book the program would only cost me around $29. next year for 2 kids. Not Bad!!
**
You can go here to "A Reason For's" website and they have placement tests to help you know which level would be best for your child. They also have sample pages to look at or download and print them out.
**
So what do you use for Spelling? Do you use a formal program or just make up words?
Leave a comment and let me know!
