Free Candy

Have you been signing up each Friday for a free candy bar?
I haven't posted it because it seems to be plastered everywhere, but just in case you haven't seen it go here to request your free coupon. Money Saving Mom says there is a limit of 4 per household! It's only for the first 250,000 people so hurry. I just got mine so I think they're still available!!

Pudding No Bake Oatmeal Cookies

Pudding No Bake Oatmeal Cookies
an alternative to regular no bake cookies
***
Only 5 ingredients needed
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cups butter
6 oz. (which is half a can) sweetened condensed milk
1 box (3.4 oz) instant pudding -- chocolate, butterscotch, your fav
3 1/2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
***
I forgot to only use half the can of cond. milk and poured the whole thing in (opps). So I ended up doubling the recipe. It worked pretty well since I don't know what I would have done with a half a can of sw. cond. milk anyway!
Next time If I double the batch I will reduce the
butter to 1 1/4 cup and see if they set up better?
Combine sugar, butter, and evap. milk in sauce pan
bring to boil and then boil 2 minutes.

Mix oatmeal and pudding in big bowl
I used chocolate pudding...
(remember the pic shows the recipe doubled)
Pour in the sugar/butter mixture and mix well.

Drop onto cookie sheets lined with waxed paper.
Allow to set. Mine were very sticky and not very set so I popped the tray into the freezer. Turns out we like them better frozen.
Awesome summer treat!
****
I actually liked them better than traditional no bakes. Hubby loved them too but thinks regular no bakes are still a touch better. It's nice to have more options!
***
We can't wait to try these with butterscotch pudding
I'm pretty sure they'll be my favorite!
**
I made these during dinner and it still only took me about 20 minutes for a double batch!
Anyone know what the substitute is for sweetened condensed milk? That's the only ingredient that I don't always have on hand...

Weekly Groceries!

Another week Another Grocery Trip!
Total here was
$50.80
Spent $27.81 at Meijer for 55 items (20 kool aid pkts) saved $59.88
Spent $22.99 at Kroger for 24 items saved $21.69
***
Total $50.80 for 79 items or .63 cents each (once again 20 kool aid packets helped that number) .81 cents per item without the kool aid.
***
I really have no idea what to do with all the kool aid packets I've been getting free???? We don't drink much kool aid and even if I started making a container a week we'd have enough for looonnnnnggggg time!
Any ideas for other recipes or uses for kool aid packets????
I could make play doh... any other ideas??

Skin Free Review and Giveaway

When Skin Free contacted me and asked if I'd like to do a review and giveaway I was of course thrilled! I took a look at their site and discovered they had a

They recommend their products for
Extreme Dry Skin

The Elderly
Diabetics
Renal Patients
After Radiation or Chemotherapy
They sent me these 4 products and I loved them all! I'm continually amazed at all the great companies that are out there that I knew nothing about.
This is one of them!
**
I was excited when I saw that the Butter Stick was for cracked and dry heels. I immediately started using it. My heels are beyond bad, they're extremely cracked and rough. After one application I started seeing and feeling a difference. After using it for 10 days I can honestly say that my feet are totally different. I can't say that they're perfectly smooth (I don't think they'll ever be silky again) but they are so much nicer than they were!! I've used a lot of products in the past for dry cracked heels and have NEVER had results this good!
**
I also used the Moisturizing Soap and After Shower Moisture spritz and loved them both. I've never used a spray like this but it was great. You actually spray it on after you shower but before you towel off and then towel off as usual!
**
The Super Moisture Body Balm I'm unsure about. I really love how it moisturizes my body but I thought it was a little oily. I loved putting it on my heels and also using if before bed. It really did moisturize my body! I think I would like their new Super Moisture Butter Cream better. It does the same moisturizing only with the feeling of traditional lotion....
I guess I like the classic feeling better!
***
If you suffer from any skin problems or just don't like dry skin, like me, I definitely recommend these products!
They also have a lot of face products that look great too!
Oh and I almost forgot to mention, These products are being carried by many Walgreen's stores! Check here to see if they're in your area.

Things I Love Thursday

We love Swimming!!!
And we've been doing lots of it lately!
My just turned 3yr. old swims around all by himself like
he's been doing it for years!!
I call him my little fish!
Micah doing... well we're not sure most of the time!!
Check out how long Halee's arms look!
It must be some kind of optical illusion ...
At least I don't think her arms are that long!!!
I'm on a roll with great camera work!
Chi wanted me to take a picture of him doing a somer sault.
This is how it turned out!!!
Too Funny!
Finally the pool is warm enough to get in.
I officially got in for the first time last weekend!
And we've been in every day since~
**
I'm hopeful that we will be able to swim through September so we can still have our 3 month swimming season, but I doubt it. I think its just been a very cool June.
I guess we'll take what we can get!
